Man claiming over £300,000 compensation for alleged missed cancer diagnosis

A roofer who alleges that doctors missed a diagnosis of cancer of the penis is looking to claim a minimum of £300,000.

The man fell on to a sharp pole during an accident at work and was seriously injured. He was taken to the Royal London Hospital - an institution managed by the Barts and The London NHS Trust - for treatment, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.

The 50 year old is now pursuing legal action, claiming that doctors missed signs that he had the developed the disease. He claims that following a biopsy doctors misdiagnosed him with a skin condition when he was in fact suffering from cancer.

He claims that, as a result of the diagnosis he had to have part of his genitals removed and has also suffered psychological issues.
